COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM (CD-TIP)
HITEC’s initial program,
CD-TIP, is designed to assess the state of technology and community
development activities in the Greater Houston area, and to spur and enhance
the greater utilization of
Community
Technology
Centers
(CTCs) as public space and centers of community life.
COMMUNITY ASSESSMENT
Through CD-TIP, HITEC is
conducting a comprehensive assessment of CTCs and CBOs (community based
organizations) during the fall of 2004. The goal of the assessment is to
provide baseline information of the status, capabilities and capacities of
these organizations in our community and develop benchmarks that will
ultimately strengthen community development activities in targeted areas.
